John Wallace Ekstedt of Mountainside died at Overlook Hospital in Summit on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. He was 94. Born in East Orange he had been a long-time resident of Mountainside. WWII US Army veteran, John was a machinist for Bell Labs in Murray Hill until retirement.
John was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Hofacker) in 2006 and is survived by his nephews: Wallace Ekstedt of Doylestown, PA, Alan Ekstedt of Medford, NJ and niece Lynn Schwarz of East Stroudsburg, PA.
