Joseph LaGregor
09/28/1935 - 05/27/2023

Joseph LaGregor, age 87 of Chatham, passed away peacefully at Morristown Hospital on May 27, 2023.  Joseph was born in Union to the late Anna and Joseph LaGregor on September 28, 1935.  He graduated from Union High School and started working at Four Seasons Bowling Alley and Lounge where he became the manager and personally auditioned Frankie Valli and the Four Lovers as entertainment.  Although the group never performed at the lounge, they did change their name to the Four Seasons.  Joe was also the manager of the Shiki Japanese Steakhouse in Union, NJ for many years.   Joseph served honorably in the National Guard for twelve years.

He married the love of his life, Jean Schulke, in 1966, who predeceased him in 2020.  Joseph retired at the age of 68, and he loved to travel with his wife.  He loved walking in the park with his dog Suzy, gardening, building birdhouses, the Jersey shore, a good glass of red wine, and investing and caring for loved ones.   He was always there for anyone who needed his help, and he definitely left the world a better place.

He is survived by his cousins, friends, and his loyal dog, Suzy.
