Josephine Saltarelli, 85, of Chatham, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2019. Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Chatham for over 50 years. She was a loving homemaker, and her family was her greatest joy in life. She was an Oakland Raiders fan, and in her younger years, enjoyed traveling and rooting for Joe DiMaggio and the Yankees. Josephine was predeceased by her husband, Joseph. She is survived by her daughters, Toni Reel and her husband Chris, and Caroline Schuster and her husband Gary; her grandchildren Joe Reel and his wife Jenn, Anthony Reel and his wife Paige, Samantha Schuster and Jillian Schuster; sisters Mildred Dzincielewski and Fran Solski. Ginger will also be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 10am at St. Patrick Church, corner of Chatham Street and Washington Avenue in Chatham. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City. There will be a visitation on Sunday from 2-6pm at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street in Chatham. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Chatham Emergency Squad.
