Karen Larsen-Doty died peacefully at home on March 6, 2020 in Springfield, NJ at the age of 84. Karen was born on September 17, 1935 in Summit, NJ, to Waldemar N. Larsen and Edna S. Larsen (Allen). She graduated from Jonathan Dayton Regional High School in 1953. She married George B. Doty in 1959 at St. John the Apostle, Linden, NJ. She was employed in the field of law for 42 years. Karen was devoted to her husband and her children in which she found her greatest joy. Whether it was watching sporting events or other activities, she was always there in support. She also enjoyed vacationing at the Jersey Shore and Nantucket Island. She was predeceased by her father, Waldemar N. Larsen and her mother, Edna S. Larsen (Allen), and her aunt, Lois J. Pfeiffer (Allen). Karen is survived, loved and missed by, her loving husband of 61 years: children, Kevin G. Doty, Karen L. Clemens (Doty) and her husband, Todd; uncle, Henry W. Pfeiffer; grandchildren, Kevin N. Doty and his wife Rachel, Caroline M. Doty, Michael B. Doty and his wife, Ashley, Brooke N. Doty, Bradley A. Clemens, Julia E. Clemens, and her great-grandson, Bergen Brooks Doty. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 AM on March 11, 2020 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills, NJ. Entombment will immediately follow the mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph’s at 9701 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19118.
