Kathleen Crum

Kathleen Margaret Crum (nee Buckley), 97, of Union, NJ, passed peacefully on September 30, 2022.  Born in Manhattan, NY, she resided in Bronx, NY, Bergenfield, NJ, Brick, NJ, Warren, NJ and Union, NJ. Kathleen received her degree in Early Childhood Education from Newark State College, known now as Kean University.  She was a nursery school teacher at Peter Rabbit Nursery School in Closter, NJ, for 25 years. Kathleen played in the Kitchen Band and was a member of the bocce ball team at Seaview Village Retirement Community, Brick, NJ. She also founded and ran the Rosary Makers group at Seaview Village. She was a member of several clubs, organizations and volunteered her time. Kathleen was a member of the Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of the Americas at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bergenfield, NJ, where she also assisted in running the Annual Christmas Bazaar. She was a member of the Rosary Society at Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Brick, NJ.  Kathleen is pre-deceased by her parents, William Patrick and Roseann Brady Buckley and her husband, the late Walter Joseph Crum, Sr. She is survived by her three sons, William Michael Crum (Nola) of Union, NJ, Walter Joseph Crum, Jr. (Irene) of Warren, NJ and Gerard Frederick Crum (Daniele) of Closter, NJ. Grandmother of Jeffrey (Jennifer), Daniel (Rachel), Robert (Julie), William (Jennifer), Eric (Katie) and Brian, all of New Jersey. Great-grandmother of Owen, Anele, Marcie, Sophia, Bella, Russell, Jack and Harper, all of New Jersey.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 8:30 am to 10 am at the Bradley Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. Union, NJ. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Michael’s Church, 40 Alden St., Cranford, NJ. Interment will take place on Tuesday, October 4th at Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY.
