Kenneth Hovanec, of Bedminster, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022. He was 65.

Kenny was born and raised in Millburn, and lived in Chatham for over 20 years where he raised his family with wife of 44 years, Rita.

Kenny served in the Navy from 1975 to 1981 and was a Vietnam veteran. After his service in the Navy, he received a degree in Business Computer Programming.  He spent the majority of his career as a business owner, running the long-time family business, Hovanec Interiors. Most recently, he was working with the United States Postal Service.

Over the course of his life, Kenny loved skiing with his children, vacationing with his family in Cape Cod, spending time with his grandkids, riding his motorcycle, golfing, cooking, and late nights playing cards with his siblings, Barbara, Charlie, Andy, and Billy. Kenny was loved by all for his sense of humor that always made those around him feel welcome and loved. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

The son of the late Charles and Jane Hovanec, Kenny is survived by wife Rita, sons Christopher and Kyle, daughter Katelyn, and grandchildren Tyler, Charlotte, Aubrey, Nicholas, and Parker.
