It is with great sadness to announce the sudden loss of Kenneth J. Soltys, 48, of Union, on Sunday, August 16, 2020. He was born and raised in Union, and was a graduate of Union High School.
Ken was an expert in auto body repair and mechanics, and worked in the automotive industry throughout his life. He enjoyed restoring his classic car – a prized ’67 Chevy Impala, and also took pleasure in woodworking – creating intricate and detailed carvings. He will always be remembered as a loyal friend, loving brother and devoted son who dedicated his life to his mother. Her recent loss proved too much for him to bear.
Ken was predeceased by his mother Regina, in July 2020, his father Robert in August 2018. He is survived by his sister Carolyn Herbert and her husband Michael of Wall Township, and their daughter, Mikayla, who cherished her “Uncle Ken”. He is also survived by the Soltys family – Uncle George, Aunt Nancy, Aunt Christine, and his close and caring cousins – Steven, Adam, Scott, Nancy (his goddaughter), Sara, Brianna, Tyler and Angela.
Arrangements are under the care of Bradley, Haeberle, and Barth Funeral Home, Union, NJ, and are private.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to “Rainbows for All Children” crisis, grief and family loss support program, Monmouth Beach, NJ. www.monmouthrainbows.org.
