Kimberly Ann Glinkin, 54, of Whippany, NJ passed away on Saturday, April 8th. She left us much too soon to accomplish everything she wanted. Born October 27, 1968, in Rochester, NY to Keith and Chick Barnes. She is survived by her husband Bruce, daughters Jessica and Delaney, her twin sister Kathy (Ken) Tottle, parents Keith and Chick Barnes, and her beloved dog Oliver.
Kim was raised in Wayne, NJ where she enjoyed marching band and track at Wayne Hills High School and continued her education earning an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and a master’s degree from Montclair State University. She worked at Whitman, Requardt and Associates as an environmental planner, where her expertise in environmental studies, sustainability and urban planning was greatly valued. She had credentials with the American Institute of Certified Planners and was an Envision Sustainability Professional.
Always the adventurer, she would try almost anything, especially outdoor activities such as hiking, running half marathons, water activities, traveling far and wide, gardening despite not having a green thumb, attending Carbon Leaf and Jimmy Buffett concerts, all with family and friends.
Everyone knows her for her love of others, be it playing games and puzzles, lending a helping hand, and her active and selfless participation with her daughters’ activities, school, and community. She was a friend to all, the better half of her husband Bruce, and will be missed by all.
