Ligouri Joan Kroeger (nee D’Arcy), 94, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024.
Born in Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of William James D’Arcy and Ligouri Saunders Voll. Joan was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She later joined the workforce, and was a manager in the IT department at Prudential Insurance Company.
Joan had a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, dress making, crocheting, needle point and all things that required crafting. Her loved ones always looked forward to her handmade greeting cards on special occasions.
A devout Catholic, she was a long-time parishioner and active member of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Whippany and St. Mary’s Church in Blacksburg, VA.
Joan is predeceased by her husband, Robert William Kroeger, and her son Barry Kroeger. She is survived by her son Doug Kroeger and his wife Naomi, her brother Bill D’Arcy and his wife Ginette, her daughter-in-law Carol Kroeger (Barry), 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
