Margaret A. Krupa, a long-time resident of Elizabeth, passed away peacefully at her home on May 14, 2023.  She was 96 years old.

Margaret was born on June 26, 1926 at her family home in Newark to the late Julia and Julius Kovacs.  She was a graduate of South Side High School in Newark.  Margaret worked for Union Carbide in Piscataway as a schedule planner.  Margaret was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church in Elizabeth all her life.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband Edward Krupa and daughter Janice Krupa-Miller, her sisters Olga Gannett and Anne Isenegger, brother John Kovacs and niece Susan Gannett. She is survived by her loving niece, Lynne Midtgaard and her husband Mark, her great niece Lauren Midtgaard, and her nephew Michael Bange and his wife Kelly.

Margaret and her husband loved to travel.  They drove cross-country to see many places across the U.S. and went on many cruises and trips to Europe.  Post-retirement Margaret was a sample clerk at Shop Rite Supermarkets, a dedicated volunteer and a helpful friend to many. She was an avid reader and loved tending to the flowers in her back garden. Margaret’s true passion were her dogs – she loved them with all her heart.
