Matthew Pennachio, 68, of Frelinghuysen Twp, NJ. died December 27, 2022.
Matty was the beloved son of Diane and Anthony Pennacchio. He is survived by his sister Renae Jensen and brother Louis Pennacchio; his nephews John, Christian and Corey Jensen, niece Heather Lucy and great nephew and niece Eric and Anna Lucy. Matthew grew up in Fairfield and attended West Essex High School.
Mat will be remembered by his love of his family, Harley Davidson motorcycles, cooking and his love of the Yankees. Even with the complications of a traumatic brain injury from 1974, Mat always had a smile, joke, and conversation ready to go. He loved a good cup of coffee, and truly taught us to live “in the moment”.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral: A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 65 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Morristown on Saturday, January 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to attend are invited to meet at the Cemetery office at 10:45. Guests will be invited to join the family following the service for a luncheon at Chef Fredy's Table, 78 Speedwell Avenue, Morristown. The restaurant is BYOB and the family will provide some wine, but feel free to bring your favorite if you wish. There is a large construction project ongoing next door, so parking is either by the Green or the underground parking across the street at the Hyatt Hotel. You can come up into the hotel lobby after parking and the restaurant is across the street.
