Michael Hart
02/10/1984 - 12/01/2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Michael Hart, who left us too soon at the age of 39. Mike was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and nephew, a dedicated audio engineer, and a man of diverse passions.

Most recently a resident of Long Island City, NY, Mike was born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island by Ann and Ed Hart. From an early age, Mike had a genuine love for music, playing the violin, guitar, piano, and the bass. He attended Monsignor Farrell High School where he was a devoted and enthusiastic member of the marching band. Afterwards he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where he discovered his love for jazz after hearing John Coltrane’s ‘Giant Steps’ for the first time.  Ultimately, Mike’s passion for music led him to complete his education at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Fl where he developed his expertise in recording and mixing audio.

Mike was a talented and devoted audio engineer who approached his craft with commitment and professionalism. With a passion for performing his tasks at the highest level, Mike’s work led him to traverse various parts of the US, calling Florida, Indiana, New York, and California home during his career. Mike rarely traveled anywhere without either an instrument or mic to accompany him.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mike was a multifaceted soul. Suffering from anxiety, depression and chronic pain throughout his adult life, Mike searched for the light in the shadows, navigating through storms to find moments of fleeting sunshine. He found solace in the tranquility of hiking, and enjoyed visiting national and state parks with friends and family. Mike also found enjoyment in art, movies, and the excitement of target shooting.

Mike’s warmth, friendly nature, and unwavering loyalty touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His perseverance through difficult times will continue to inspire us, and his laughter and remarkable spirit will live on in our hearts.
