Millicent Cora Egbert

Millicent Cora Egbert, 96, passed away peacefully on March 19. 2023 at Cranford Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Millie was born to Olive (Bayly) and William Dunnican on June 8, 1926, in Passaic, NJ.   She grew up and spent most of her life in Union, NJ.  Millie was a graduate of Trenton State College (the College of NJ), where she received a BS in Elementary Education.  Millie taught Kindergarten in Elizabeth Port, NJ for many years before starting a family.  She married Kenneth G Egbert, her high school sweetheart.  They had five children.  After raising her family, she returned to work in education.  Millie started, and was the Director of, Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church Nursery School in Union.  A few years later, she became the Director of Christ Church Nursery School in Short Hills, NJ.  She was the Director for over thirty years until her retirement.

Millie is predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth G Egbert, They were married for 58 years.  Besides raising their family, they enjoyed golfing, traveling and were very active in the Lion’s Club. Millie is survived by her daughters Kim Zotti and husband Anthony, Kathy Banks, Karol Fox, a son  Kevin Egbert and the late Kendra Shelly Egbert.  Millie was the loving grandmother of ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
