Patricia "Pat" Joan Lalevee

Patricia “Pat” Joan Lalevee (nee Fuchs) passed away peacefully at her home on November 9, 2023. She was born in Jersey City, N.J. on October 6, 1938 and moved to Union, N.J. and graduated from Union High School. She married her sweetheart, Richard Louis Lalevee, in 1960 and lived in Springfield for many years. She held various positions at New Jersey Bell and JR Engineering in Springfield. For the last 30 years of her career, she was employed by Springfield Adult Learning Center as an administrative assistant. 

 

Pat had a sharp wit and loved to tell a good joke. She had impeccable organizational skills and never forgot a loved one’s birthday, anniversary, or any other significant milestone. She loved her family and was always available to lend good advice to those around her.  She was a longtime parishioner of St. James the Apostle Roman Catholic Church and recently joined the Springfield Senior Citizens Group.  She was an avid reader who enjoyed mystery and crime novels and loved to travel with family and friends. Pat and her dear friend, Rita Carney, belonged to a small women’s group they called their “club” and met weekly to enjoy a good meal and conversation.

She is survived by her sons Gregory (Tricia), Gary (Annamaria) and Christopher (Tara) and seven grandchildren: Morgan, Taylor, Richard, Shawn, Carly, Eva and Mark. She is also survived by her sister Gail Seely (Mark) and her niece, Colleen Sheelen, nephew Brian Seely, nephew, Glen Horishny, their children and her partner and companion, Kenneth Joos. 

 

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, and her parents Albert and Catherine Fuchs. 

 

Her viewing will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bradley, Smith and Smith in Springfield on Monday, November 13, 2023 and her service will be at 10 a.m. on November 14, 2023 at St. James the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
