Peter G. Markey was a caring husband, father, and grandpa. He left this world on May 5, 2024 at the age of 72.
Peter is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, to whom he was married for 48 years. He also leaves behind two daughters, Lisa and Stephanie, their husbands, and his two grandsons. He is also survived by his brother George, his sister Heather, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Peter enjoyed playing the guitar, riding his motorcycle, boating and fishing, and building his business, Superior Powder Coating Inc. Most, however, he loved making memories and building traditions with his family. He will be remembered as a dedicated husband and father, a loving Poppop, and an outstanding businessman.
Visiting hours at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd., in Whippany will be on Thursday, May 9th from 4 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Ave. in Cedar Knolls on Friday, May 10th at 10am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
