Robert A. Roworth “Bob”, 74, of Whippany, NJ, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 9, 2022. Born in Orange, NJ to Harold C. & Felicia Roworth (Domaleski), has lived in Whippany his entire life. He graduated Hanover Park HS in 1967, and went on to complete 3 years of higher education before enlisting in the National Guard. He served for 6 years earning his M16 sharpshooter achievement and was an Aircraft maintenance operator and helicopter mechanic. He was a member of the Whippany Fire Department and raised to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He was a member of The American Legion and served on the color guard where he was in charge of the firing squad for 10+ years. Bob was a master of all trades including building, automotive, painting, welding, electrical, plumbing and much more. He was a history buff and car enthusiast, restoring old cars all his life. The fascination started as a teenager including drag racing in Englishtown in his ’62 Corvette. His latest project was restoring his ’62 Impala with his son. He enjoyed hunting, fishing & his garage door was always open for anyone to stop by for conversation, music and any help needed. He is survived by his wife of 49 1/2 years, Maureen Roworth ( nee Carey ), his son Robert J. ( Bob ) and daughter Carey Provo ( Kevin ). Proud PaPa to Regan & Stella Roworth and Jackson & Jamison Provo. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia Roworth & Wendy Koch ( Phil ).
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11 am at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. Whippany, NJ. Visiting hours, Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 4 pm to 8 pm. Entombment Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s name may be made to the Cedar Knolls First Aid Squad, 82 Ridgedale Ave. Cedar Knolls, NJ, 07927.
