Sarah Louise Kambour
01/29/1965 - 11/19/2023

Sarah Louise Kambour (née Obaditch), 58, of Medford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 19, 2023, in New York City, after a three year long battle with cancer.  Her husband Eric and their two children, Alex and Sophie, were by her side, along with her brother Dominic.

Born in Epsom, Surrey, England, Sarah moved with her family to America in 1974.  Growing up in Watchung, New Jersey, Sarah attended Watchung Hills Regional High School where she excelled academically and athletically.  She was recruited to be a runner but ultimately settled on playing field hockey at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland.  Sarah graduated in 1986 and went to work at the Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange in the World Trade Center as a compliance officer.  After several years, Sarah applied to and attended Seton Hall Law School and was appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Seton Hall Law Review, graduating in 1995.  Accepted to the NJ bar, Sarah worked for the Riker, Danzig law firm until 2001 .

In 1993 she married the love of her life, Eric Kambour and they first resided in Mendham, NJ.  In 1999, they relocated to Medford, NJ just before their son Alex was born.  Sophie was born two years later in 2001, and Winston, their amazing dog, completed the family in 2010.  Since Sarah and Eric were originally from Northern NJ, they spent many hours watching their favorite NY sports teams including the Yankees and Rangers, and being NY Giants season ticket holders, they held many memorable tailgate events at Met Life Stadium.  They proudly held the flag high for all the New York sports teams in the South Jersey/Philly metro market – not an easy task.  Also, the family enjoyed many relaxing and memorable spring break trips and summer beach vacations in Florida and the Caribbean.

Sarah was a wonderful mother, wife, sister, and daughter who was tremendously kind-hearted and loved by everyone who knew her.  Sarah had a passion for running, cooking, and all animals.  An avid runner, Sarah completed three New York City marathons and could be seen all over Medford putting in the miles training and keeping fit.  Her love of cooking was always on display especially during the holidays as she wanted to serve the perfect family meal including her variety of pies and other desserts.  Sarah’s caring spirit extended to all of God’s creatures, especially dogs.  She adored their dear dog Winston, and Winston adored her.  Sarah supported multiple animal charity organizations, focusing on those dedicated to finding homes for senior dogs and dogs with health issues .  Sarah, Eric and Winston could always be found walking in their neighborhood and on the sideline of countless soccer matches and rowing races cheering on her kids’ teams and organizing the pre-game and post-race gatherings and meals.  Sarah and Eric treasured their time raising their wonderfully accomplished children.  With Alex graduating in 2021 and Sophie graduating in 2023, both of her children have entered the working world with all of the passion, drive and love for humanity that Sarah instilled in them.

Along with Eric, Alex, Sophie, and Winston, Sarah is survived by her parents Lesley and Christopher Obaditch of Corona Del Mar, California, her brother Jeremy Obaditch, and his wife Sue, and their three children Sam and his wife Erin, Emily and Will, and her brother Dominic Obaditch and his two children, Lulu and Oona.

We will all miss Sarah tremendously but know that her bright, loving, caring, and beautiful spirit will be with us forever.
