From an early age, Stephen was a gifted musician. He could play and restore any instrument. His love of music brought him to work at the Millburn Music Center, where he would eventually purchase the business. He was truly grateful for all of his dedicated employees and students through the years. The store sold instruments, and equipment, as well as lessons. Stephen was a music teacher to hundreds of students, but his very best pupil was his son Stephen. His wife Karen and his son Stephen were truly the light of his life. When he wasn’t at the shop, he could be found at home with his family, strumming a guitar. Along with their love of music, Stephen and his son were huge Cincinnati Reds fans.
Predeceased by his parents John & Lois Melvin, he is survived by his wife Karen (nee Kuchler) of 18 years, his son Stephen, his loyal canine companion Duke, his mother in law Betty Kuchler, and his brother John Melvin. He will be truly missed by all who had the fortune of knowing him.
