William (Bill) Smith, at the age of 80, went to be with the Lord on March 12th in Pinehurst, North Carolina.  Born on August 19,1942 to William and Helen Smith, Bill was raised on Lindy’s Lake in West Milford, New Jersey, where he grew a love for water sports and spent each summer lifeguarding on the lake. He had fond memories of playing in Little League Baseball throughout his school years.  He graduated from the Class of 1960 at Butler High School.  Bill founded Corporate Glass & Aluminum, Inc., which he developed into a successful business for 42 years through his strong work ethic.  Throughout his life, Bill was an avid athlete and enjoyed tennis, swimming, competitive golf, horseback riding and he also loved being a loyal NY Giants fan.  Bill had a special bond with animals, raising and training three Doberman Pinschers, Mugsy, Kelly and Maggie.  He adored riding and competing with Bravo, his cherished palomino horse.

Bill was the beloved husband of Christine Julia Smith for 25 years. Together they lived in Mendham, NJ, Oro Valley, AZ and at Wishing Well Farm in Southern Pines, NC, where Bill spent his final years.  He was overjoyed when family would visit the farm and delighted in giving horseback rides to both the young and old!
