William Edward Grady, Jr, 90, of Union passed away on March 30, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel, 1212 Kelly St. in Union on Wednesday, April 4 at 10:15am. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth, 1100 Pine Ave. in Union on Tuesday from 3 to 7pm.
Born in Hartford and raised in Manchester, CT, William was a graduate of Trinity College. He served his country proudly in both the Navy and the Army during WWII and Korea. William was an insurance underwriter and agent with the Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group in Liberty Corner, NJ. Previously he was with Travelers and Atlantic Mutual. William was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first.
William was the beloved husband of the late Jean. He is survived by his children, Jan Miciak, William III, Lisa Wadams and Brian, 8 grandchildren, Jessica, Joseph, Claire, Sarah, Kelsey, Jaime, Maya & Olivia, his brother Paul and his sister Elaine Duff. He is predeceased by his sister Joyce McCue and brother Peter. In lieu of flowers, donations in William’s memory may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars at www.vfw.org.
