Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, the daughter and second oldest of four children to Domingo and Lucia Fiallo, Zoe immigrated to the United States in 1969 at the age of 14. First settling in the Bronx, she also lived in Florida and Connecticut before returning to the Bronx. Zoe picked up English quickly from watching late night Johnny Carson reruns. She was passionate about photography and during her 20’s and 30’s submitted work to local magazines in New York and Miami. A devout Christian, Zoe read and studied the bible daily. She was an avid sports fan and loved cheering for the New York Yankees and Miami Dolphins. She loved her family and found an immense amount of joy in her two grandchildren who lovingly called her “Biba”. Zoe is proudly and warmly remembered by her family for her determination and her fierce, strong will.
Zoe was the loving mother of Eduardo and his wife Maureen. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Eduardo, Jr. and Grace Catherine and her dear siblings, Ileana, Domingo, Jr. and Vivian.
